Cosentinoworks presents a formative body of photographic work created by Daniel Cosentino while studying studio art at Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence, Italy. These large format images, printed in palladium and developed in a traditional darkroom, reflect an early but significant chapter in Cosentino’s evolution as a New Jersey-based multimedia artist, conceptual artist, and educator. Rooted in his exploration of banality—the notion that quiet, everyday moments can carry as much resonance as grand vistas—these photographs capture sparse interiors, sunlit stairwells, empty desks, and the filtered light of lived-in spaces. In this work, Cosentino began establishing a disciplined studio practice, experimenting with light, structure, and subtle symbolism. The series illustrates his emerging voice, blending the philosophical with the observational, and sets the foundation for future projects like Standing Box and Totem Domum. This gallery offers insight into the beginnings of an international visual language—one that intersects photography, installation art, and conceptual inquiry. Through these studies of light, stillness, and place, Cosentino shaped the groundwork for his broader practice as a writer, lecturer, and editor of Latent Views and Equine Magistrate. Cosentinoworks invites you to experience this early chapter in a lifelong pursuit of meaning through contemporary visual art.
